SecureRF’s National Science Foundation Grant for Secure RFID Tags Has Been Extended
Security on RFID Tags Will Benefit Pharmaceutical and Other Industries
SecureRF Corporation announced that the National Science Foundation (NSF) has extended their Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant to develop a secure radio frequency identification (RFID) tag for the Pharmaceutical supply chain. SecureRF, developer of the world’s first linear-based security methods, was granted additional funds to create security protocols for UHF passive RFID tags that will protect prescription drugs in the pharmaceutical industry.

Co-founder Dr. Dorian Goldfeld Awarded NSF Grant to Lead Research Training Group in Number Theory
The goal of the Research Training Group proposal is to make the New York metropolitan area a premier world center and model for the study of number theory. The project is a joint training effort involving three universities (Columbia-CUNY-NYU) with eight principal investigators and twenty-five other faculty all working in number theory and related areas. This project will be decisive in raising the level of number theory across participating campuses: cross-pollinating successful ideas already in existence, and creating approaches through collective interaction.

SecureRF to Present “What Do We Really Mean By Security for RFID -- And How Much Is Enough” at INTERPHEX 2008
Louis Parks, founder and CEO of SecureRF Corporation will give a presentation titled “What Do We Really Mean By Security for RFID -- And How Much Is Enough” on Wednesday, March 26th, 2007 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at INTERPHEX2008 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA. In this session, he will detail security and privacy issues in deploying Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and the validity of these concerns. Various current and proposed solutions including authentication and data protection methods, and advice on how to select the right security level for a pharmaceutical RFID application will be presented.

SecureRF Announces Availability of the First RFID Tag with Onboard Security Features
LIME Tag™ authenticates and encrypts data communications on the tag itself
SecureRF Corporation announced the availability of its LIME Tag™ with Onboard Security™ and cold chain management features.  This battery-assisted passive tag uses SecureRF’s breakthrough in security technology that authenticates and encrypts data communications on the tag itself—an industry first.  It is an item-level solution that provides tamper-proof data storage on the tag, and ensures privacy by allowing only authorized readers access to sensitive information.  The LIME Tag will also help pharmaceutical manufacturers and other cold chain distributors track and monitor product temperature history.

The American Mathematical Society has published a journal in their Contemporary Mathematics series called Algebraic Methods in Cryptography. It includes a peer reviewed research paper about our methods called "Key agreement, the Algebraic Eraser™, and Lightweight Cryptography."

This battery-assisted passive RFID tag uses SecureRF’s breakthrough in security technology that authenticates and encrypts data communications on the RFID tag itself - an industry first. It is an item-level solution that will help pharmaceutical manufacturers and other cold chain distributors provide a tamper-proof record that will prove the package is authentic, and ensure privacy by allowing only authorized readers access to sensitive information. The temperature sensor on SecureRF’s LIME Tag will monitor and securely record an item-level temperature history to address cold chain management issues.
