Open Positions for Engineering Team

Are you interested in developing secure solutions for RFID tags and other embedded systems? We are hiring a team of engineers who will be responsible for designing new chips, tags and integrated systems for the company’s secure RFID products and solutions.

RFID Systems Engineer – We are seeking a senior engineer who has a proven track record of developing requirements and providing support for various new RFID applications through simulation and analysis. The focus of the position is end-to-end systems-level simulation and engineering of RFID systems, creating product requirements and supporting their development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create product requirements and test plan to support their development.
  • Develop an end-to-end system simulation and analysis to evaluate various technical issues such as modulation schemes.
  • Develop new methods / algorithms to improve system performance.
  • Design and deploy RF digital communication system and sub-system.
  • Perform standards protocol investigation, analysis and proposal preparation.
  • Provide written reports and summaries of development projects and tasks.
  • Complete antenna design and characterization
  • Obtain FCC approval of RFID system
  • Generate drawing packages

Requirements: (Education, training, skills etc.)

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or similar with at least 10 years practical experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in RF wireless communication system.
  • A solid understanding of wireless communications in theory and applications, RFID experience is a plus.
  • Experience in digital wireless communication system analysis and design such as: Link budget; Channel planning, Multipath Fading analysis, Modulator/Demodulator schema design, Spectrum and bandwidth analysis and System Performance (BER, PER) analysis.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to create and navigate through detailed technical standards/specifications and other technical documents
  • Experience in Antenna design and Characterization.
  • Experience in HFSS Simulation, antenna and antenna array design, smart antenna design.
  • Knowledgeable in CAD/CAE tools such as ADS and Ansoft HFSS.
  • Knowledge of Matlab and ADS simulation tools.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Must work in a minimum supervision environment
  • Must be self motivated and very creative with excellent communications and writing skills

Sr. Digital Engineer - We are looking for a senior engineer who can develop digital sub-system specification from system specifications. This person will conduct circuit analysis, develop schematics, run simulations, and perform design verifications for RFID application. They will perform laboratory measurements using logic analyzer, oscilloscope, or Credence system and also generate drawing packages for circuit boards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 3 to 5 years industry experience in digital design using Synopsys, Xilinx tool, or other tools is required.
  • Coding in VHDL, test bench development, and code control is required.
  • Knowledge of communications theory: data encoding, modulation, adaptive filters, or noise modeling is desirable.
  • Experience using MatLab or MathCad.

Requirements: (Education, training, skills etc.)

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • A solid understanding of wireless communications in theory and applications, RFID experience is a plus.
  • Experience in digital wireless communication system analysis and design such as RF propagation model, modulator/demodulator design, coder and decoder design and bandwidth analysis.
  • Fluent in VHDL language and experience in FPGA design.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to create and navigate through detailed technical standards/specifications and other technical documents
  • Knowledge in Matlab simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of digital synthesis and place and route: non-overlapping clocks and clock trees, memory and peripheral circuits, I/O, adders, multipliers, FPGA (Xilinx), and full-custom design is required.
  • C or C++ programming experience is a plus.
  • MSEE, industrial experience is a plus.
  • DSP experience in wireless communication is preferred.
  • Must be self motivated and very creative with excellent communications and writing skills

Senior RF and Analog Engineer - We are seeking a senior RF and analog engineer who can utilize develop RFID circuits for current and future products and applications. This engineer will perform advanced designs, analysis and testing of RF (UHF and Microwave band) and analog circuit for RFID tags and related products. They will solicit and accept general and specific technical requirements, provide information and develop specifications for RFID tags, develop goals and work toward achieving results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops specifications and test plan for RFID tags and readers from system specification
  • Provides detailed design, analysis, testing and support of the RF and analogue baseband portion of RFID tags and reader at both component level and ASIC implementations level.
  • Responsible for the design creation and verification of RF front end, RF detectors, Filter, LNA, Mixer, Frequency synthesizer, IF amplifier, Baseband signal shaping and detection, RF transmitters and other analog circuit as required.
  • Performs engineering validation test and production qualification test.
  • Provides written documents, reports and summaries of development projects and tasks according to company standards
  • Ensures successful implementation of the design in large production quantities.
  • Interfaces with other engineers in reader and tag team, system engineers and application engineers to ensure the integrity and efficiency of the design.
  • Works closely with project engineer to ensure on time delivery.
  • Provides third tier support to the customers and application engineers.
  • Performs circuit and component evaluation and failure analysis.

Requirements: (Education, training, skills etc.)

  • Requires a BSEE or similar (advanced degree desirable)
  • Five or more years experience in the design, modeling and testing of RF and analog circuit, passive RFID tag and reader design experience will be plus.
  • Proficiency in RF and analogue circuit design and impedance matching, component design, modeling and testing.
  • Good understanding of signal processing and digital communication theory.
  • Skilled in the use of common laboratory equipment including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.
  • Must be familiar with design tools and circuit simulation tools such as microwave office, ADS and eagle ware.
  • Should show self-initiative and creativity.
  • Must work in a minimum supervision environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills are necessary.

Engineering RF Technician - We are seeking an engineering RF technician to support all aspects of RF design activities through application of circuit board assembly and testing skills.  This person will assist design engineers in development of engineering prototypes and samples, perform all routine measurement and characterization work and provide and maintain engineering supplies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs evaluations of RF circuits.
  • Troubleshooting of circuit boards and assemblies
  • Assembly and testing of circuit boards
  • Ordering components and materials for prototypes and general lab use
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and engineering materials inventory
  • RF measurements in consideration of FCC Regulatory Compliance
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials, Engineering Documentation and Assembly/Test procedures

Requirements: (Education, training, skills etc.)

  • Minimum A.A. in electronics or equivalent experience.
  • Two or more years experience in RF board assembly and testing.
  • Working knowledge of RF components and OrCAD schematic capture tool.
  • Strong skills in RF and electrical measurement techniques using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators.
  • Excellent soldering skills required.
  • Familiarity with surface mount techniques desirable.

Electronic Technician (RF and Analog) - We are seeking an electronic technician who can assist the engineering team in RFID tag and reader circuit design in terms of prototyping, testing, measurement and qualification products.  This technician will build customized testing tools under supervision of engineers and conduct product qualification testing including environmental and aging tests.

Requirements: (Education, training, skills etc.)

  • Prefer Associates degree or Bachelors degree in engineering or technology field
  • Electronic technician or technologist with at least 3 years practical experience.
  • Experience in electronic circuit, assemblies and prototyping.
  • Experience with electronic test equipment (e.g. multi-meter, scope and spectrum analyzer.)
  • Very good soldering skills on both thru hole and surface mount board.
  • Knowledgeable in basic electronics and mechanics.
  • Being very handy is a plus.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, team player and like challenges.
  • Must work in a minimum supervision environment
  • Ablility to work alone or within a team.
  • Must be self motivated and very creative
