The Algebraic Eraser™ Provides Sophisticated Encryption and Authentication in Embedded Devices
SecureRF’s foundational Algebraic Eraser™ addresses the critical security needs of resource-constrained embedded devices that require strong, but lightweight encryption and irrefutable authentication.
SecureRF’s security algorithm can be implemented in a variety of embedded systems products:
- Microcontroller units (MCUs)
- Wireless phone devices
- Wireless sensor networks
- Smart Grid meters and control systems
- WiMax applications
- Peer-to-peer mesh networks
- Machine to machine (M2M) authentication
- RFID tags: active, passive, battery–assisted passive
- Sensors and other resource constrained devices
Why is the Algebraic Eraser ideally suited as an embedded security technology?
- Small parameter sets – The Algebraic Eraser runs over a small number system (typically a prime between 13 and 31), resulting in small datapaths (5 bit or less)
- Small run times due to a very efficient computation algorithm.
Our embedded system public key engine is available as firmware, RTL licenses, and Netlist licenses. It is stronger than 1,024-bit RSA, but runs at less than 2,900 gates.
Our custom development support and licensing options provide developers and engineers with a flexible method to implement customized security functions in M2M and embedded platforms, microcontrollers, FPGAs and other integrated circuits.
